Vancouver Incest & Sexual Abuse Centre (VISAC) - Family Services of Greater Vancouver

The VISAC (Vancouver) Victim Support Services Programs offer support and information to children and adolescents who have been sexually/physically abused and their non-offending family members, where criminal charges against the offender are anticipated or have been laid. The program also works with children and youth witnesses of crime and provides information and support to adult survivors of child sexual/physical abuse.

For 25 yrs and younger. No Care Card Needed. Birth Control and Emergency Contraceptive. Pregnancy Options Counselling. STI Testing/Treatment, Pap Tests.

Social Insurance Number (SIN) - Human Resources Development Canada

Varied hours. Phone or drop-in to any Service Canada office. It is best to drop in because the phone line is usually busy and it can be frustrating. You need a SIN number in order to work in and receive Employment Benefits (EI).Bring your birth certificate or other documentation that says you can work legally in Canada. There is no cost for the first card, but a replacement card will cost you $10.00.

Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre

If you have a legal problem, but cannot afford a lawyer, the Legal Services Society (LSS) has a range of free services that may help you. Legal Aid services include: Legal advice from duty counsel lawyers at most courthouses. You can also get help from family advice lawyers at several family justice centres, and the lawyers and the paralegals on LawLINE. Legal representation from a lawyer for those who qualify and have serious family, child protection, or criminal law issues.

Quest Program

LawLINE is a free phone service of the Legal Services Society (LSS) designed to help people who don't qualify for a legal aid lawyer to represent them. We provide brief information about print and website resources to help you resolve your legal problem referrals to other services if LSS cannot help legal advice

Peardonville  House Treatment Centre

First point of contact between health/social services & individuals in the downtown Eastside.Provides basic health care through nurse & healthcare workers:clients may or may not have medical coverage.(certain conditions may apply)

Options for Sexual Health

Options for Sexual Health is a non-profit society supporting reproductive choice and healthy sexuality.  We offer information and services for all aspects of sexual and reproductive health through 50 clinics across BC, the 1-800 SEX SENSE Line, and educational materials.  Sexual health education programs are available for students, parents and professionals.

North Community Health Centre

Call in for hours. Primary care, needle exchange and A & D counselling services are available. Needle exchange Mondays and Fridays 1:00 pm - 4:00pm.

Mid-Main Community Health Centre

Referral through ACCESS CENTRAL)Community based residential safe, supportive environment for individuals withdrawing from the acute effects of alcohol or other drugs.

Bridge Community Health Clinic

Providing support to Vancouver's homeless youth and youth at-risk. The Outreach team at Directions Youth Services Centre is in place to identify new youth on the streets of Vancouver and connect them to resources and services. Outreach workers assist homeless youth and youth at-risk in immediately accessing services such as health, mental health, MCFD or police; in returning youth to home or home community, where appropriate; and coordinating a response with other resources and service providers.

Bute Street Clinic - (BCCDC)

Free and confidential (no medical necessary). Education, testing and treatment for HIV and STI's. Located in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Community Centre.- For 25 yrs and younger.
