Driver’s Licence

You must be at least 16 yrs of age. If you are under 19, you must have a parent or guardian’s consent. You must bring in a birth certificate and another piece of ID. When you go to the office, you will be required to take your “learners licence test” which involves an eye test, a road sign test and a knowledge test. This costs $15.00 and an additional $10.00 for picture ID. This licence is good for 12 months. After 6 months, you can apply to take two road tests, and if you pass, you will receive your driver's licence (class 7 - novice).

BC ID Card - ICBC Service Centre

Drop-in to one of the above offices. It is best to go early in the morning or during “off-hours” (it gets really busy around noon and later on in the day)
