Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House

Safe House is a voluntary seven-day co-ed residential program for youth aged 16 - 18 years who are absent from home and street-involved or in danger of becoming so. Safe House also accepts parenting teens. The program has access to support services for as assistance in finding accomodations, education, and work. It provides referrals for addiction issues, pregnancy, legal problems, medical concerns, care cards, and advocacy with the Ministry of Children and Family Development and issues relating to income assistance. Safe House is open for self-referrals.

Fresh Start Quit Smoking Program

Quest offers volunteer opportunities to individuals who want to give back to their communities, learn new skills for re-entering the job market, or gain experience and confidence after a period of absence from employment. Volunteers may be eligible for an emergency food hamper, which will be made available for them at the end of their shift commitment. Fraserview Public Library

Drop-In for women with HIV Monday - Thursday 11:30 am - 3:30 pm. Positive Women's Network provides support, education and referrals to women living with HIV in BC. We also provide education and referrals to communities serving women with HIV. All services are free to women with HIV, although we do require confirmation of status.

Franciscan Sisters Benevolent Society

Soup and sandwiches are served daily with the exception of Wednesdays and Sundays. Men's Clothing Room: As many as fifty to seventy men per day may frequent our Men's Clothing Room, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Along with men's clothing, bed linens can be found, as well as toiletries, sleeping bags, small household items, and other miscellany.

Foundation

Fully staffed intensive day/evening crystal meth treatment program. The queer men's groups run on Monday and Friday evenings, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, and a family component on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

Food Bank - Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society

If you live in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster or the North Shore, contact the Greater Vancouver Food Bank office at 604-876-3601 to find out the location of the food bank depot nearest to you. If you live in another community in the Lower Mainland, click here to find the food bank closest to you. To receive food an individual must attend one of the 16 food depots and complete a registration form, providing their name, address and phone number as well as identification for themselves and members of their family.

Focus YWCA

They provide two services. Focus at Work: Offers 3 week workshops to assist women of any age assess their skills, establish clear career goals and acquire the job search skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment. Career and Education Centre: Assists young single mothers age 16 - 24 years to prepare for and access further education and vocational training or to obtain suitable employment.

First Nations Employment & Enterprise Centre

The First Nations Employment Centre delivers various employment and job placement services to the Aboriginal community. They offer one-on-one employment counselling, job placement services, free internet access, free photocopying and fax, career planning, career focused workshops, job posting board, etc.

First United Church

overnight refuge, drop-in, emergency clothing, advocacy, free showers, basic literacy, foot care, healing touch.  Meals: Monday – Friday:8:30 am soup;9:30 am coffee/sandwiches;Noon lunch;6:00 pm dinner.Meals - Saturday – Sunday:  9:00am fruit and muffins; Noon lunch;6:00pm dinner;

First Nations and Inuit Health Branch

The First Nations and Inuit Health Branch supports the delivery of public health and health promotion services on-reserve and in Inuit communities. It also provides drug, dental and ancillary health services to First Nations and Inuit people regardless of residence. The Branch also provides primary care services on-reserve in remote and isolated areas, where there are no provincial services readily available. Assists Aboriginal people with obtaining a BC Medical Services Card (Care Card), and other required health services.

Federation of BC Youth in Care Networks

The FBCYICN is a provincial non-profit organization driven by youth in and from government care (ages 14-24 yrs). They provide peer support, education about the rights of youth in care, and systematic advocacy as well as assisting with the development of community abused local networks for youth in and from care. (Care includes social services, youth justice and mental health services).

East Youth Clinic @ Evergreen Health Clinic

For 25 yrs and younger. No Care Card Needed. Birth Control and Emergency Contraceptive. Pregnancy Options Counselling. STI Testing/Treatment, Pap Tests.

Everywoman's Health Centre

Call for an appointment: doctor or self referral. They provide reproductive health services: birth control, abortions, etc. Includes “no pressure” decision making counselling, pre and post abortion counselling and STD screening and treatment.

Evergreen Youth Clinic

A 13 week pre-employment program for women. Offers training/workshops in self awareness, critical thinking, abuse issues, communication skills, assertiveness, career exploration, job search, work experience placement and interview skills. Also offers GED educational upgrading, introduction to computers, WCB Level 1 First Aid, CPR, Superhost and self defense.

It is also a place where people can just come and hang out. All services are free.
