Pigeon Park Savings

Provides people living on low incomes in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside with access to basic financial services. An account package is available for a flat fee of $5 per month, and includes cheque cashing, unlimited withdrawals, bill payments, money orders and ATM card access. Pigeon Park Savings also provides cheque-cashing services to non-members for flat fee of $2.99 per cheque.

PFLAG

PFLAG Canada is a national voice that speaks for a more accepting Canadian society by providing support, education and resources on issues of sexual orientation and gender identity. Through our PFLAG Chapter and Contact network, we actively assist in the recognition and growth of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, trans-sexual, two-spirit, intersex, queer and questioning persons and their families and friends within their diverse cultures and societies.

Charlie's Food Bank provides pet food for low-income, people living outdoors and senior pet guardians. Offers: Free pet-food for dogs, cats, birds and small animals. Toys, treats, leashes, collars, litter, litter boxes and carriers. Information on behaviours, training, basic care and local animal by-laws. Free spay and neuters.

Peardonville  House Treatment Centre

First point of contact between health/social services & individuals in the downtown Eastside.Provides basic health care through nurse & healthcare workers:clients may or may not have medical coverage.(certain conditions may apply)

Peak House

Peak House is a 10-week, co-ed, in-house, program for youth who are ready to challenge the effects of substance misuse in their lives. It is a part of the Pacific Youth and Family Services Society, a non-profit society with a mandate to support and encourage programs for youth and families.

Passport Canada

Pick up a passport application kit at the office. You must fill out the form, have passport photos taken, get a doctor, lawyer, or other professional person to “vouch” that the photo is in fact you. You'll need your birth certificate and one other piece of valid id in order to get your passport. It usually takes about 2 weeks to get and costs $87.00. A passport is required in order to enter other countries. It is also a good form of picture identification.

Parents Together - Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver

Are you looking for ways to improve and strengthen relationships within your family? You Are Not Alone! The Parents Together program has helped many parents in British Columbia regain their confidence and rebuild their relationship with their teen. Parents Together is a mutual help ansd support program for caring parents who want to develop new skills that will help to end the conflict in their homes. Participants learn effective stratagies to improve relationships, develop positive communication skills, discover the importance of self-care, and region control of their lives.

Parent Support Services of BC

Parent Support Circles are free, confidential, anonymous, weekly meetings of parents who wish to learn new ways to nurture and protect their children.

Services for Vancouver Westside: Drug & Alcohol Counselling, Prevention Services for Youth, Methadone Maintenance Program, Needle Exchange, Support Groups, Withdrawal Management including Home Detox. Can make referrals to treatment centres.Youth Addiction Counselling available for youth up to age 24.Education Series open to the public on Friday mornings, 9:30-11:30. PACE (Prostitution Alternatives Counselling and Education)

By, with, and for sex workers - PACE Society promotes safer working conditions by reducing harm and isolation through education and support. We believe that sex workers are valuable members of our community and are entitled to the same rights as all other human beings. At PACE Society , support is one of the most important services we provide to men, women, and transgendered sex workers. PACE Society's Support Workers provide:One-on-one support for individual goal planning, case coordination, advocacy and accompaniment. Ongoing day-to-day support for immediate/crisis issues.

Over-Eaters Anonymous (OA)

Support group of men and women in recovery from compulsive overeating or other food problems, such as bulimia or anorexia. who have meeting time and location information.
