The Vancouver program includes Working with Children, Security, Trades Assistant, and Social Services. Get the certificates and training you need to start working in these industries. The team will also connect you with employers and provide you with one-on-one job search support.

Gastown Vocational Services

Gastown Vocational Services provides a range of vocational and educational services to both youth and adults who have a mental health disability. Our services include career planning, assessment, group or one- to one work readiness skill training programs, specialized pre-employment workshops, work experience placements, job coaching, and supportive employment and supported education services.

Embers Eastside Works

Embers helps people improve their livelihood by finding part time and flexible work opportunities, accessing training and support, and connecting to the local workforce and community.


BladeRunners provides life skills, job readiness skills, work experience/on the job training, job coaching and ongoing supports to unemployed youth at risk. Youth between 15 and 30 years old, with multiple barriers to employment are eligible.

Aboriginal Connections to Employment (ACE)

Offers employment assistance services to the urban Indigenous population of Metro Vancouver. Services include career counselling, information on education funding, referrals to training programs, supported job search, and funding for skills training and work gear.

Thrive Program (Open Door Group)

If you are living with a mental health condition, we offer one-to-one coaching and group programs that focus on personal development and positive community connections. From healthy living to computer skills training, our team will work with you to build a custom program that fits your needs.

Spikes on Bikes

Community members with lived experience of drug misuse cycle around the Downtown Eastside, Gastown, and the West End in Vancouver on specially equipped bicycles to respond to drug overdoses, dispose of needles, and distribute harm reduction supplies.

Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP)

The Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP) has focused on finding motivated candidates for construction employers with jobs to fill in BC. The STEP team can help you create an action plan to build your career in the skilled trades, connect you to apprenticeships and opportunities with BC construction employers, and provide extra financial support and benefits to ensure you�re job ready.

Mission Possible

Mission Possible is supporting individuals who are challenged with poverty to navigate a journey to employment. We do this through supporting individuals with training and coaching in our Work Readiness Program, and offer transitional work opportunities in our social enterprises.
