Eastside Family Place

The Eastside Family Place Society is a support and resource centre for families with young children, from newborns to early six years. Through a wide range of programs, services, projects and supports, the Eastside Family Place Society assists the healthy development of young children, parents and caregivers.

Healthiest Babies Possible

Healthiest Babies Possible (HBP) provides nutrition counselling, health education, food access and social support to pregnant women facing challenging life circumstances in Vancouver and Richmond. The HBP staff includes dietitians, public health nurses and support workers fluent in a variety of different languages.

First Nations Child and Family Wellness Council

FNCFWC is committed to supporting First Nations in any path they choose to care for their children and families. The FNCFWC respects the inherent rights and jurisdiction of all First Nations and offers political advocacy and support as requested, acknowledging that each Nation has issues specific to their communities.

Child Protection and Family Services (VACFSS)

VACFSS is responsible for child protection services for Aboriginal children, youth, and families for Vancouver. This includes:
providing services that will help strengthen Aboriginal children and families
providing service to the parents or others who are responsible for the care of such children
reviewing, assessing, and investigating reports of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation of children

YWCA Single Mothers' Support Services

YWCA Single Mothers' Support Services offers individual and group services to assist, empower, and inform single moms. Groups meet in many locations, call or visit website for info.

Youth Pregnancy and Parenting Program

The Youth Pregnancy and Parenting Program (YPPP) is a free service supporting pregnant Vancouver youth (24 and under) and their babies.

Parent Support Circles

Parent Support Circles are free, weekly gatherings are for parents in any situation to safely share their challenges, receive support and understanding for their roles as parents. These Circles are free, anonymous and confidential, and are led by trained volunteer facilitators. Child-minding assistance is available and some Circles have onsite child-minding. Mount Pleasant Family Centre

A safe space for family drop-in where families with young children can make new friends, learn new skills, and receive support.
